Oasis de paix Positive: L'endroit tranquille. Negative: L'eau chaude manquante.

Do not eat here. Eat before you come. Otherwise peaceful. Positive: Great location 20 mins from the airport Nice, clean room with a great shower Peaceful location Everyone very friendly Negative: Do not eat here. Eat before you come. We messaged our host asking if they could accommodate a vegan/vegetarian meal which they assured us would be fine. We even offered to eat before we came but they informed they would provide a “delicious” vegan meal and not to worry. Essentially this was a frozen ready meal which cost 1500 Mexican pesos but for convenience we agreed. This agreement was via WhatsApp at 1pm. We arrived and asked for dinner at 6pm. One of the volunteers warms our food up in the microwave for a few minutes but it was totally frozen on the inside. She tried again and again the meal was totally frozen. We informed her that this was not edible. She said thy were not used to having guests with dietary requirements which I found difficult to believe. She said the second meal would have similar issues given that neither of them were defrosted in time. She offered a cheese quesadilla but at this stage (an hour later) we decided against this. We tried to get uber but the meal had not been packaged properly so was undeliverable. The uber also could not find the location as there is no signal near OMA. It was 8pm by this point and I messaged host away so said uber will not deliver after 8pm. We were tired and hungry. After some messaging they gave us some salad. Breakfast next morning is essentially just bread with PB&J. The manager asked one of the volunteers if we would pay for one meal which we kindly declined. Honestly, being hungry ruined our stay here. I think they should warn people that they should bring their own meals. It was also Valentine’s Day so really not ideal to spend our last night in Mexico absolutely starving. Also incredibly cheeky to ask us to pay when they were the ones that did not defrost the meal in the first place!

Positive: L’équipe est super accueillante, aux petits soins. Le lieu est très beau, quelques activités locales à faire sur place. Petit déjeuné avec options payantes. Tout est fait pour qu’on soit bien. La douche est en semi-extérieur.

One of a kind, with lots of soul Positive: After the brief adventure of finding the place (pro tip: download the map ahead of time because your phone will lose reception towards the end of the drive) it was a beautiful surprise to arrive at OMA. Gorgeous property, very nice staff, huge room with tons of character, jungle setting, artistic touches all over the place from giant hewn timber to psychedelic mosaics. If you’re looking for a Hilton-like experience, go to the Hilton. If you want a warm place with tons of character and soul, come here. It’s one of a kind. Negative: The omelets were pretty good, but generally the food here is expensive and mediocre. Also they have a ton of offerings, including Ceremony in the gorgeous temezcal, but they are prohibitively pricey.
